Water Damage
Newark, DE
The Bob Carpenter Center on the University of Delaware's south campus is a very active building. Athletics and entertainment events are booked throughout most of the year. The building can't be shut down for any circumstances if at all possible. Visiting teams and celebrities aren't easily rescheduled for the year.
One afternoon, during practice for basketball and volleyball an errant pass knocked a sprinkler head from its moorings. Fortunately it was on the far side of the facility not in the middle. It flooded the basketball court for 4 hours before the university facility crew was able to turn it off. They called Diamond Restoration immediately. The DRI drying crew was on the scene in less than an hour.

What Diamond Restoration found upon arrival was incredible: 6,000 square feet of flooding over 1-inch thick hardwood flooring. The drying crew leapt into action containing the flood by deploying a drying tent. In so doing, they were able to isolate the flood to its side of the facility and athletic activity resumed! The Bob Carpenter Center never had to close for business.
Diamond Restoration was able to dry the 6,000 square foot facility in 2 days without damaging or replacing the hardwood flooring, saving UD in excess of $100,000! The direct containment tent, 50 fans, applied structural drying and Diamond's EXCLUSIVE "Directed Heat Drying" techniques were all leveraged for DOING IT RIGHT. RIGHT AWAY. |
