Town houses are a common site in both suburbia and the city. They are a great way to let people have nice, spacious homes in densely populated areas. However, they have a downside too. A side that a family on Concord Pike learned all too well. A series of 4 adjacent town homes were caught in a chain reaction fire that spread rapidly across all of the structures. Fortunately, the Wilmington Fire Department was able to contain and extinguish the fire.
Once they did their first move was to call 1 800 Board Up. Our team arrived on the scene in less than one hour with the heady task of stabilizing, then securing the structures by installing plywood over every open hole so that vandals, thieves and curious children could not enter the fire scene. We also tarp the roof to secure against weather so that any further damage is prevented.
After stabilizing and securing the structure we removed all debris to our dump truck for fast removal.
We only needed 3 hours to complete the task from the moment we arrived. Needless to say we were compliant with the Wilmington Fire Departments procedures and they were happy.
